ABOUT ISABEL

I’m the oldest of seven. This is my go-to fun fact and a defining feature. Despite the challenges that come with it, this is a choice existence and something must have gone beautifully in a past life for me to land in this one. I got to be one among many in a house teeming with emotions, laughter, coloring on walls, occasional fights, general mess and, of course, creativity. 

 

If my job in this life is to give back what has been so freely given (and I do believe it is) then I feel mine is about freedom: helping others identify their innermost truths, own their stories, live without the fear of isolation, but with the undeniable wisdom of connection.

I am an actor. 

I grew up watching plays at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and movies of a bygone era. Poetic feasts with rhythm, seismic physicality, and rigorous honesty are my roots.

 

I am a mover. 

A dancer and yoga teacher. The first decade of my adolescence was spent in dance classes, rehearsals, competitions and ballet intensives. Dance was my life, yoga was the bridge back to it when I let that singular identity go. 

 

I am an artist. 

I wear lots of other hats and they are all very dear: director, choreographer, and writer to name a few.
